The inner section of the roulette table comprises of the individual numbers that corresponds to the roulette wheel. This is the betting area for the inside bets of roulette. The outside section of the roulette table comprises of several bets for specific groups of numbers. This is the betting area for the outside bets of roulette.

Every kind of bets in roulette has its own corresponding odds and payouts. The dealer will know what kind of roulette you are making basing on the placement of your chip. Therefore, place your chips on the appropriate place on the roulette table for clarity and to avoid confusion on the dealer's part.
